A senior executive, project manager, human capital and OD&D specialist, Janice has over 20 years experience working in a range of sectors including private, government, education, and not-for-profit.  Her core specialties are strategic planning, HR/OD&D, change leadership, performance management, executive coaching and leadership development.  As President and Senior Consultant for JM Wooster Inc., Janice has successfully led critical projects to drive organizational change and growth objectives.   As a business coach, Janice works with senior executives and business leaders to build capacity and achieve performance objectives based on measurable results. 

Executive Leadership and Strategic Planning

Janice has provided executive level leadership as a Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development with national and international scope.  As a trusted senior advisor, Janice provides leadership focused on initiatives to leverage human capital opportunities linked to strategic objectives. She transforms organizational culture, implements best practices and builds HR/OD&D  operations positioning organizations at the next level of accomplishment. 

As a senior level facilitator and communicator, Janice has successfully worked with executive teams, boards of directors, special task forces, and internal/external stakeholder groups. 

Drawing on her experience as a specialist in strategic leadership, Janice utilizes the highly regarded Balanced Scorecard approach to her strategic planning engagements. Her philosophy on moving clients to the next level is – “if you can't measure it you can't manage it” – and working with clients to build strategies based on critical objectives, measurable targets and action plans that close performance gaps and create early results leaves a legacy of sustainable benefits.

Project Management

Janice has managed projects, implemented methodologies and coached project and portfolio managers in a variety of corporate and not-for-profit environments.  Examples of recent projects include: business process review and alignment; strategic planning; design build and relocation; performance management; compensation and benefits; peer review; re-engineering and re-organization projects.

Using an applied approach,  Janice incorporates the client's real-life environment in her training in order to accomplish relevant results that will be directly applied to participant's everyday work experience.  Beyond understanding the learning objectives of each client and providing business-relevant training, Janice creates a learning environment that is dynamic, participative and fun.

Janice believes that knowledge should be shared, not protected.  In all her engagements, whether it is strategic planning, project management, human resources consulting or business process review, Janice ensures that she transfers knowledge to those who are responsible for continuing the work after she leaves.  “If what I bring to an organization is not sustainable after I leave then it is of little value to the business.”

Personally Speaking ….
